Post-stroke Rehabilitation of an African Woman

Goals


Sylvia stated that she wished to overcome her reluctance to walk outside her home and to return to college. Therefore, the overall goals at this stage for Sylvia's rehabilitation were to assist her to travel to college independently, and to explore alternative communication options to writing. To achieve these goals, her gait had to be improved, she had to learn to write and to type with her right hand, and she had to resume some of her former roles.
