Anterior Cruciate Ligament

Patient Outcome

This patient did return to playing basketball, but was forced to stop because of an unrelated knee pathology. She later underwent an additional knee surgery on the right, where the surgeon noted her ACL graft was strong and intact. The patient had a long history of bilateral knee problems, lupus, as well as asthma. Together with her physician, she decided to stop playing sports to prevent further injury to her knees.
