Therapy Progress

Week 2

Physical Therapy

Better mood, slight agitation at end of session, improved activity tolerance.

Therapeutic exercise: dangling 90/90 with moderate assistance for 8 minutes, tall kneeling and prone over ball for balance. Balance / postural control / stabilization / strengthening activities include: tall kneeling moderate to maximum assistance; prone over ball with and without arms in weight bearing; supported standing 1-2 minutes with maximum assistance x 2 (3 reps); tailor sitting x 5 min (static balance) with minimum to moderate assistance; bolster swing straddle position in all planes 10 min with moderate to maximum assistance.

Transfers: rolling with moderate assistance; supine to sit with minimum to moderate assistance; sit to stand with moderate assistance; stand pivot with maximum assistance.

Gait: 40 feet in 10 minutes with manual support and facilitation maximum assistance x 2; gait initiation with swing improved, decreased cadence, and control in flexed posture.

Occupational Therapy

Therapeutic exercise: prone on ball reaching forward with hand held assistance; weight bearing on arms while rolling forward on ball, tolerated better on left side; functional reaching while lying on back with hand held assistance, poor sitting tolerance in 90/90 position.

Some PT and OT co-treatments.
