Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Review


Systemic lupus erythematous (SLE or lupus) is a complex form of arthritis that is an auto-immune disease. The signs and symptoms can be vague and are suggestive of other forms of arthritis as well as other disease processes. In this case, we have presented information to help distinguish lupus as well as provide treatment information. Since lupus is a chronic illness, we also presented self-management skills because of their importance in the overall treatment plan.
