Objectives


  1. Familiarity with the services offered by various health care professionals who are members of the interdisciplinary geriatric assessment team.
  2. Identify physiological, psychological, and cognitive changes associated with the progression of Parkinson's Disease.
  3. Describe the benefits for the geriatric patient / client with complex medical issues of working with an interdisciplinary team.
  4. Develop an understanding of the concept and application of problem-based learning.
  5. Describe how the team leader uses the Interdisciplinary Geriatric Assessment Form to keep the team focused during an interdisciplinary team meeting.
  6. Identify the clinical characteristics of osteopenia.
